Trash and recovery
Restore removed work or permanently delete it after cancellation settles.
Use the selection controls in Tasks, Chats, Notifications or Inbox to move items to Trash. Select all includes matching pages; deselect individual rows to exclude them. Review the exact preview before submitting. Each item reports its own result. Move a root task to include its full graph. Resolve an action’s outcome before removing it; setup chats and platform maintenance tasks remain protected.
Trash retains items for 30 days. Tasks cancel, chats archive and cancel outstanding responses, and notifications acknowledge. Open Trash in the organization navigation to restore an item. Restoration preserves its state after cancellation: it does not restart tasks or reopen approvals. An archived chat can subsequently be reopened through Chats.
Answered and cancelled questions can move to Trash without changing their answers or their source work. Question history stays with the source task and can be restored while that history exists. Permanent removal happens with the source task graph after its evidence references are clear. Open questions and uncertain action outcomes require individual decisions.
Bulk previews and progress are attached to the current page URL. Reloading that URL restores the operation; changed items are skipped. Close a finished result to clear it from the page.
Delete permanently ends retention early. It waits for cancellation and worker leases to settle, and refuses to remove work referenced by another task, retained context, a schedule, or a pinned chat. Resolve those references and retry. Executing or unknown action outcomes must be resolved first.
After database deletion, file removal can continue in the background. Storage outages retain the cleanup request and retry automatically. Only the deleted chat’s or runs’ own files are removed. Expired items follow the same checks; a blocked deletion stays visible with its reason.
